I am a learner and passionate educator. As a current District Cadre Facilitator to 15 schools in 8 cities and a former Assistant Principal, ESOL Coordinator, ESOL Contact, Latinos In Action Advisor, ESE Specialist, Reading, Math and Science Coach in Elementary School and in a Middle school, I have served families in a multitude of communities: Parkland, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Coral Springs, Margate, Deerfield Beach, Dania, Hollywood, and Coconut Creek. I understand the importance of serving, listening, teaching and leading in a direction that supports the voice of the people. I have served on a tri-county Superintendent committee, multiple ESE, ESOL and School Advisory Committee Boards as well as several additional advisory committees throughout the county. In my 28 years of teaching I have provided strategic advice to align the needs of the community, students, parents, administrators, and partners, never losing sight of the fact that I was working with the community and listening to the voice of the people involved in the process. Being an educator has taught me how to reach out to the community to manage projects that the community and schools agree are needed and build a stronger partnership that supports all stakeholders and especially the children. During my career in education, I have learned that all schools, Charter, Private and Public should provide "the best education possible and be a safe place" for all children to learn and grow.  Safety in all our schools is paramount. Prior to education, I attended college working on accounting courses as a bank employee. It was my pleasure to balance small business books and sustain the branch as the branch Customer Service Representative/Advisor/Associate in Medley, Doral and Miami Lakes. Numbers are a big part of my current position in education. I have a Realtor license and love studying communities to assist people in finding their dream home. Serving people utilizing the acquired qualifications and years of experience is a pleasure.
